Sekhar Kammula's flick with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi stands postponed. The untitled project was supposed to hit the screens this December.
"The 'Fidaa' director is a perfectionist. He doesn't want to do things in a hurry. Since the film's pre-production works were extensive and detailed, he had estimated that he can complete the film fast. But that is not happening. So, he now wants to go slow for some reasons," a source says.
The musical love story is expected to release in February next. But isn't February considered a dull month for films? "It is. But even December wouldn't have been that great, given that there are some six noteworthy films in the race. January is ruled out. With the right release strategy, February can be an April," the source adds.
The film tells the love story of two individuals who travel from their village to a city to pursue their dreams. The 'Majili' actor is working on the Telangana dialect to fit the bill. Music is by Pavan. If Vijay C Kumar is the cinematographer, Rajeev Nayar will be the art director.
