Looks like sequels are willing to drop down their original female lead and give more importance to the script. Recently we heard about Vidya Balan's absence in the sequel of 'Ishqiya' and now it's the turn of Priyanka Chopra to miss the second version of the critically acclaimed movie 'Kaminey', directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.

Yes, the 'Desi Gal' beauty is said to have no place in 'Kaminey 2'. And the news has come as surprised to many, since Priyanka had equally prominent role in the original along with her co-star Shahid Kapoor.

Gossip mongers now feel it is maybe due to the rift between ex-lovers - PC and Sasha. However other sources claim that it is not the case. Actually Priyanka doesn't seem to fit in the sequel. They also revealed that in fact the character Chandan Roy Sanyal, who played Shahid's best friend in the first part, will not be included in the new version.

Currently Vishal is scripting 'Kaminey 2'. It is said that he will first direct a film with Ajay Devgn to be co-produced by Devgn, Kumar Mangat and himself. After this only he will start working on 'Kaminey 2'. And then he will move over to his next directorial '2 States', starring Shah Rukh Khan.

Sources said that Shahid has been again instructed to work on his body to get the six-pack look for one of his twin characters.
