Kamal Haasan is on Wednesday one of the most mentioned names in the English-language national media. The reason is that he has regretted the fact that he had supported Demonetization when it was announced on 8 November 2016.

The wannabe politician feels that he shouldn't have supported the measure without much forethought. Suggesting that the "anti-black money" move has only proven to be an eyewash, the 'Vishwaroopam-2' and 'Sabaash Naidu' actor says, “If the PM accepts his mistake without being obstinate, then one more salute is waiting for him from me." The first salute came when Modi announced DeMo.

Kamal had recently met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Days after the meet, he surprised many by saying that he will work with the BJP if it benefits people. A few days later come his anti-DeMo remarks.
