A few weeks ago out of the blue came the surprise announcement that Mani Ratnam will be directing Kamal Haasan's 234th film and it will be jointly produced by the duo along with Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies. The duo are reuniting after 35 years since they made the cult classic 'Nayagan' considered as one of the all time best films in Tamil cinema.

Preproduction work for 'KH 234' has kickstarted and we now have the red hot update that Jeyamohan has come on board. The famed writer wrote the screenplays for many recent films including 'Ponniyin Selvan', 'Vendhu Thaninthathu Kaadu' and 'Indian 2'. Sources say that Mani Ratnam and Jeyamohan are jointly writing the screenplay and dialogues.

The shooting of 'KH 234' will begin once Kamal completes 'Indian 2' and 'Bigg Boss Tamil 6' reaches it grand finale. Mani Ratnam is also involved in the postproduction works of 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. He is said to be planning to conduct additional shooting for few scenes and some patchwork as well in January 2023.
