After her debut opposite Kamal Haasan in Vettaiyadu Vilayadu, Kamalini Mukherjee is slowly making her impression in Kollywood. The theatre artiste from Bengal, who was introduced to silver screen by Revathi Menon in her Hindi venture Phir Milenge, is acting as the heroine in all newcomer starrer Kannamoochi Yaenada.

She is tipped to play the lead role in a movie to be directed by the White Elephants Production Company (owned by director Selvaraghavan, cinematographer Aravind Krishna and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja). Dhanush is tipped to play the hero in the movie.

The latest buzz doing rounds is that the young actress has been roped to play the heroine in Silambarasan's next movie as well, which would be produced by NIC Arts Chakravarthy. 'Sivaji' fame Shreya Saran is supposed to play the other heroine.

Kamalini's Telugu movie Style with Lawrence Raghavendra and Prabhu Deva is ready for a release in Tamil titled Latchiyam.

With a handful of movies in Tamil and Telugu, Kamalini is confident of a bright and prosperous 2007.
