Kamalhassan reprising the role of Mohanlal!!! Yes… such a marvelous dea is going to be given life soon. Sources say that ace actor Kamalhassan who has been confirmed for the award of Padma Bhushan recently, is going to play the protagonist in the Tamil version of Malayalam film Drishyam that had Mohanlal and Meena playing the lead roles.

Drishyam released as the grand Christmas release and it is still running to packed houses. The family based thriller has been announced a super hit and reviewers and fans cutting across sections have unanimously praised the film for its content and execution. Lalettan, as usual received rave reviews for his performance as Geroge Kutty, in the film.

Renowned producer Suresh Balaji has acquired the Tamil and Telugu remake rights of this film written and directed by Jeetu Josesph. Actor Chiayan Vikram who is currently busy with Shankar’s magnum opus Ai is said to have mightily impressed with the film after watching it and there were also talks that he would buy the Tamil remake rights of the film from Suresh and star in it.

However there seems to be a sudden but a bigger urn of events and sources state that it will be Kamalhassan who will act in the lead role of the film’s Tamil version. For beginners its worth reminding that the role of Geroge Kutty is the one of a middle aged man who is the father of two teenage girls.

Official confirmation on the Ulaganayagan’s touch for Drishyam remake is expected to be out soon.
