Actor Kamal Haasan has urged the student fraternity to join him in his journey in politics.

Kamal was taking part at a seminar held at a popular private college in Tambaram off Chennai. He delivered the guest address` to the students but converted his lecture into an interactive session with students.

When I say tomorrow is ours, I mean you (students) who have to be with me all the time...I won't be alone but only with you. You (students) have the power to pre-empt any tragedy or bad things. It is not proper for us to remain separated on religious and caste basis ever after so many years of becoming an independent Republic. This (disunity) might suit some individual's needs but we can't allow this to continue.

"Thought of changing the society has to come from within the minds of the people while it is for the Govt. of the day to pay more attention to improving infrastructure in education and healthcare sectors. If you are not getting water in your locality, try to dig into the politics behind. You are all tomorrow`s leaders and I`ve come to meet leaders and not students,"Kamal concluded.
