Kamal Haasan who is one of the most popular actors across India has refrained endorsing commercial products. He has appeared only in Government advertisements intended to create some sort of awareness among the public.

For the first time in his public life that has crossed 56 years, Kamal will be appearing in a commercial ad, but the change of this long held decision is for a noble cause.

Sources reveal that Kamal has consented to act in an advertisement of a popular textile retail shop and he will be donating the proceeds from this ad for the medical expenses of AIDS victims.

More interestingly, this ad commercial will be directed by actor Krishna who has appeared in supporting roles in films like Five Star`, Aayutha Ezhuthu`, Arindhum Ariyamalum`, Pattiyal`, Jeyamkondan` and the recently released Yatchan`. The shooting of the ad will be conducted in a week`s time.
