Kamal Haasan interacted with the media in Chennai on Tuesday, throwing light on the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC), which is to be held in Chennai on October 16 and 17.

"We are happy to announce the event on Mahatma Gandhi's birthday," Kamal, who is the chairman of MEBC, said.

"Apart from rapidly evolving into one of the most prestigious platforms for the sector in the country, MEBC is a powerhouse of knowledge, ideas and best practices with informative sessions by industry stalwarts on subjects related to the entire canvas of the media and entertainment industry," he said.

Mohanlal, Mammootty, Dileep, Jayaram and other stalwarts from the Indian industry, Oscar-award winning producer of 'The Lord of the Rings' Trilogy, Barrie Osborne, will attend the event.

There will be many workshops and sessions, which will go deep into various aspects of cinema and entertainment. Also, there will be a workshop on the making of 'Enthiran'.

MEBC is an annual event by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
