Much to the merriment and rejoicing of his supporters Kamal launched his party by hoisting flag and announcing the party's name. Following a speech by Arvind Kejriwal, here's what Kamal had to say.
Kamal started off his speech by greeting the masses and giving a special mention to the important office holders of his party . Acknowledging their hard work for over three decades of hard work for society through welfare clubs, Kamal also brought to the audience's attention why the leap into politics was essential.
Kamal also expressed his gratitude to Arvind Kejriwal stating that the latter had helped kick start his campaign already. He also recalled how Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu's words of encouragement helped him. Further Kamal also strongly stressed he wasn't a leader, but rather a cadre, fellow party member, a mere representative and tool to enable people's welfare.
Quality education to all, abolition of caste and corruption were some of the key goals he pointed out towards which his party will work. He also said he will not give way to bribe people with money for votes and advised the people against it as well. Other key areas that Kamal's discourse gave importance was employment to youngsters, adoption of villages and even resolving the Cauvery Water issue, stating that any problem could be solved with the right talk and approach.
Furthermore, Kamal also explained the meaning behind his party symbol. The six hand denotes six south Indian states while the centre star denotes the people. Thus his party is one which doesn't lean right or left politically but vested in people's welfare as the centre spot.
Kamal also strongly impressed upon the audience the fact that how privatising education sector has ended up reducing its quality as much as taking control of liquor which could be done by anybody.
Going by the reception of his speech and the energy around the event, its not surprising to acknowledge that Kamal has made a strong and able political start.
