Kamal Haasan's dream project Marudhanayakam has been in the pipeline for a long time.

Now and then rumors would do round that the actor would re-commence the movie soon. But it would be a case of kite flying mostly.

It certainly was this week. Recently, it may be recalled, a vernacular weekly had carried a report that Kamal Haasan is planning to start Marudhanayakam with the help of an MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company which had even started to collect money from general public for producing the mega budget movie.

But apparently it is not true. In a statement on Thursday, Kamal Haasan denied authorizing any individual or any company to collect money for commencing his movie (Marudhanayakam).

Urging his fans and general public to stay away from such individuals or company, Kamal Haasan said, ' I thank all my fans for their eagerness to help me start the project. However such acts being carried out in my name should not be encouraged.'

Time for Marudhanayakam is still to come.
