Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan - director Shankar combo's magnum opus Indian 2, the sequel to their 1996 blockbuster movie was launched on January 18, and the movie bankrolled by Lyca productions stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. The movie generated curiosity with its interestingly designed posters and the tagline of older, wiser, deadlier.

Recently, there was a news making rounds that Indian 2 shoot had been paused, as there were issues faced in the makeup. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has clarified on the status of Indian 2 in a recent media interaction. When asked regarding the makeup issues, Kamal said that the makeup has come really well, and he's still shooting for Indian 2, and that Shankar and himself are waiting to show a glimpse of the output to people.

For the question on the status of his other movies like Sabhash Naidu and Devar Magan 2, the actor responded positively, stating that it is his responsibility to complete all the movies committed prior to Indian 2, and the measures will be taken to complete the films. Meanwhile, the actor had recently announced his MNM will contest all 40 constituencies without forming an alliance.
