Kamal ready to hunt

Trust Kamal to do it. It is his essential chutzpah. Just when the world is getting ready for his Mumbai Xpress, he has got on to the next. He is all set to play and hunt ----literally.

Well, Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu is the name of his next movie, and being in chaste Tamil it should appeal to the language chauvinists.

To be directed buy the new whiz Gowtham menon, the film launched yesterday. Gowtham is on his favorite territory --- a police story with Kamal playing his age.The film will be set in New York,Chennai and will wound in an obscure village.

The Kuthuvilakku was lighted by ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth along with heroine Jyothika, cameraman Jeeva, music director Harris Jayaraj and others. Celebrities who attended the function included Surya, choreographer Brinda and Satyajyothi Thyagarajan. Kamal, as is his wont, is all excited about the project. It is a new kind of challenge, he says.

Kamal said Gowtham is a good director known for his pursuit for excellence. It's nice to be part of the movie, which I hope would be certainly be different'.

I should have begun shooting for the movie long back. Unfortunately, I was preoccupied with Mumbai Xpress which delayed the commencement of Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu.

On how he intend to go about the film, Kamal said, I consider every movie as my last film and hence give my best. The film’s shoot begins on April 23 ---by then Mumbai Xpress would have been a hit.
