Close on the heels of Kamal Haasan launching his political party, he is one of the 138 individuals who have received legal notices from Greater Chennai Corporation for constructing structures illegally (allegedly) in a coastal regulation zone.

As reported by a daily, Kamal and 'Sivagami' Ramya Krishna are two celebs who have been served notices for suspected illegal constructions along Chennai's East Coast Road.

This has come about in the wake of the Madras High Court intervening in a case and asking and directing the corporation to do the needful. More than 300 buildings close to the beach have come under legal scrutiny.
