BJP’s H Raja was in for a barrage of condemnations from important political people, masses and the film fraternity as well when he opined about the demolition of Periyar statues in the state. Many including Kamal, Ranini, GV Prakash, Sathyaraj had expressed their feelings against the insensitive remarks of the BJP National Secretary.

However, whilst Kamal had said that Raja’s excuse pertaining to his admin cannot be accepted, Superstar Rajinikanth has opined that the matter should not be made bigger as Raja has conveyed his apologies for the same. It is worth mentioning here that Kamal had said that it was necessary to converse in Tamil while Rajini had commented that speaking in Tamil alone will not make us prosper but we also need to be proficient in English as well.
