On a day when Pyramid Saimira Production International issued a legal notice to Kamal Haasan alleging that he had failed to complete 'Marmayogi' after receiving an advance of Rs 10.90 crore, the actor said the production company was trying to build a false case.
"I had issued a legal notice to Pyramid Saimira on April 12 this year for non-payment of my promised remuneration, thereby breaching the contract. They are trying to build a false case," the actor was quoted as saying.
"Such acts would neither vindicate nor venerate them", Kamal said reportedly and added: "The company failed to pay the remuneration it promised to me during the signing of the contract."
Meanwhile, the notice sent to Kamal by Pyramid Saimira said, "While entering into a memorandum of understanding on April 12, 2008, you had assured that you would commit Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra since the picture was also to be produced in Hindi."
The notice further claimed that the actor commenced work on 'Eenadu' in gross violation of the agreement that he would not act in any other movie till 'Marmayogi' is completed and released.
