Kamal Hassan's 'Uttama Villain' which got a clean 'U' certificate from the censors making it a must see with family film. Producers, Thirupathi Brothers have announced May 1st as the release date of the much awaited film and in all probability it could be Uttama Villain' versus Purampokku Engira Podhuvudamai' at the box office on May Day.

In 'Uttama Villain' Kamal Hassan plays an eighth century Theiyam artiste and a contemporary film Superstar, with Urvashi, Pooja Kumar, Andrea, Parvathy Menon, Parvathi Nair, Jayaram, Nasser, M.S Bhaskar with K. Viswanath and K.Balachander in his last screen appearance
