With millions of fans and followers expecting the announcement of Kamal Hassan’s political party, the actor had earlier talked about receiving monetary support from people for the same. 

When Kamal has already received about 30 crores in funds to start his political party, the actor has decided to return the funds to those who donated. He has decided to give back the donations as he considers it to be illegal to collect funds before touting a party.

Stating that the party actually started when funds began coming in, Kamal also added that this does not mean that he is taking a step back either. “We have to strenghten the party and look at its future. Many parties have fallen because its leaders did not look at the next generation,” Kamal Hassan said.
