Kamal Hassan replaces Mohanlal in 'Gadha'

Shaji N. Karun's upcoming directorial, titled 'Gadha' was supposed to have Mohanlal in the lead role. However, the actor had backed out from the movie reportedly citing financial issues. The production team had apparently negotiated regarding the actor's remuneration, for which he was unwilling.

Shaji N. Karun had almost dropped the project when Kamal Haasan came across the script and immediately expressed his wish to act in it. He even roped in a bigger production team to produce the movie.
