Addressing presspersons on his birthday, Kamal Hassan seems to be on a roll with his newly announced strategy to curb corruption in the state with innovative ideas like a dedicated whistle-blower app which is in its beta testing and hashtags #maiamwhistle and #theditheerpomvaa.
Apart from this Kamal also clarified about his remarks in a famous magazine column about Hindu extremism. Citing that he himself came from an Hindu background, Kamal also stated that his ‘theeviram’ has been misinterpreted and he meant only ‘extreme’ by the said expression. “I never meant to defame Hindus.I came from a Hindu family. I would never want to ruin the love from my own family,” Kamal said.
When asked about the possibilty of tainted money coming into the party, Kamal strongly registered the fact that he would thwart any such activities with iron hand asking for the support of the general public. Kamal also announced that further details about the launch of the app and his state wide tour could be expected after next year January.
