Kamal Haasan flew back from Mumbai where he went to meet Hollywood Christopher Nolan for an event that pressed for preservation of celluloid film. At the Chennai airport the waiting newsmen asked him about the Marina protest today demanding setting up of Cauvery Management Board and the eventual arrest of the protesters.
Kamal Haasan condemned the attempt by the ruiing party to suppress the people from expressing their demands. He said that such an act will only provide the spark for the agitations to spread like wildfire like the one that happened in January 2017. He said that there were no requests for him to join the protest and that he will be participating in the Sterlite protest in Thoothukudi on the 1st of April as announced by him before.
