Kamal Haasan is currently shooting for the multi-starred action thriller 'Vikram', directed by his fanboy Lokesh Kanagaraj. The filming faced a setback after the Ulaga Naayagan was infected with COVID-19 but the production works are back on the track. The movie's shooting is presently underway in Chennai.
On Monday, the Vikram team were shooting at a popular theatre on the outskirts of Chennai. The makers reportedly shot at the prestigious Vettri Theatres in Chrompet yesterday. Rakesh Gowthaman of Vettri Theatres revealed that Kamal was revisiting the theatre after over more than 40 years. He also shared a pic of the Universal Hero from his previous visit, which the Ulaganayagan had autographed on today.
Sharing the photograph, Rakesh captioned, "It’s a great honour & a moment of pride that Padmashri Dr. @ikamalhaasan Ji happened to step in #Vettri premises today for #Vikram shooting. The last time he came here was for the 100days celebration of #KalyanaRaman in 1979. Big thanks to @Dir_Lokesh bro for choosing us. @RKFI (sic)".
The team has been shooting with a minimal crew of late in a house on East Coast Road in Chennai. Vikram will see Kamal Haasan sharing screen space with new-gen stars Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Kalidas Jayaram and Narain. Recently, the team had also roped in actor Guru Somasundaram for a key role. The film is touted to be an action drama and is expected to release sometime in May or June 2022.
