Kamal Haasan takes a strong decision on his flop movie after 8 years

Kamal Haasan the unparalleled actor of Indian cinema made a huge comeback with his latest film 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj that had music by youth icon Anirudh. The film became the second highest grossing ever in Tamil cinema history after Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' toppled it from the first position four months later.

Meanwhile in Kamal's career his 'Uttama Villan' produced by director Lingusamy was released in 2015 turned out to be one of his biggest flops. The film directed by Ramesh Aravind starred Kamal Haasan, K Balachander, K Vishwanath, Jayaram,Nasser, M.S. Bhaskar, Urvashi, Andrea, Pooja Kumar and Parvathy among others in the movie.

The impact of the flop of 'Uttama Villain' was so bad that the production house Tirupathi Brothers are still to recover from it. Linguswamy in a recent speech has stated that he spoke to Kamal Haasan four months back about the losses and requested him to do another film for him. The filmmaker has confirmed that Kamal has agreed to his proposal and he expressed his confidence that the project will begin soon.

Kamal Haasan is currently hosting 'Bigg Boss Tamil 6' and also simultaneously shooting for Shankar's 'Indian 2'. He will soon move on to his 233rd film reportedly directed by H. Vinoth after which he will be reuniting with Mani Ratnam after 35 years for 'KH 234'.
