Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan became hot in the film trade once again following the bumper hit, 'Vikram'. The vigilante thriller, 'Indian 2', is the next magnum opus in making in the veteran's legendary filmography. Directed by Shankar, Indian 2 is a sequel to the duo's 1996 blockbuster.

The shooting of Indian 2 is currently going on at a rapid pace in Chennai. As per the sources, the current action-packed schedule of the film will be wrapped up today. The team will fly to South Africa for the next leg of the filming by this month's end. The South Africa schedule will go on for around 2 months and Kamal will be back in Chennai in May month.

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan was supposed to join editor and director Mahesh Narayanan for a film. Reportedly, he couldn't work on the project due to trade reasons but he wishes to bankroll such scripts under his production house Raaj Kamal Films International. RKFI currently has three movies in these combos: Sivakarthikeyan-Rajkumar Periasamy, Simbu-Desingh Periasamy and Pradeep Ranganathan-Vignesh Shivan.

The hot talk in the industry is that Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are aiming to release Indian 2 grandly on Diwali 2023. A source close to Kamal Haasan confirmed that he will start working on 'KH234' (with Mani Ratnam) in August month after he wraps up Indian 2. He is also in talks with director H Vinoth for a film, which will take time to materialise.
