Kamal Haasan once again given important position in Nadigar Sangam

The Nadigar Sangam elections were held in 2019 with the Nasser led incumbents facing off with K.Bhagyaraj's team. The counting of the votes was stalled for the past three years and after legal redressal was done a few days back.

The results of the elections saw Nasser's Pandava Ani coming back to power with Vishal, Karthi and Karunaas retained as General Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President respecively. Poochi Murugan was elected the new Vice President replacing Ponvannan who won last time from the same team.

The new executives of the South Indian Actors Association took charge yesterday and promised to continue and finish the pending work and schemes that they had as their election mandate. They said that their first priority is to complete the half finished construction work of the new building of the union.

Nine members, including Kamal Haasan, have been appointed trustees of the Nadigar Sangam. Nasser has been nominated to the post of executive trustee while Kamal Hassan, Sachu, Lata, Vishal, Karthi, Poochi Murugan and Rajesh have been nominated as trustees.
