An incident that recently created shock was the power failure in Madurai government hospital during which the generator also failed, which lead to the death of 5 people who were admitted in the hospital. With this incident becoming a huge issue, recently, a question was asked regarding this to Kamal Haasan.

The Makkal Needhi Maiam president and actor responded to the query on the Madurai incident in his own sarcastic style, as he said even if a generator arrives from Delhi, it can't repair the Tamil Nadu government, because reality is that today's Tamil Nadu government is damaged despite having everything.

When questioned regarding the actions of the Election Commission of India, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan said that election commission must be acting in an unbiased and transparent manner and make sure that the strong room with the Voting machines must not be opened for any reason.
