Kamal Haasan to undergo surgery

Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan will undergo a surgery this Friday. It is meant to get an implant removed from his leg.
In July 2016, Kamal Haasan had an unfortunate accident resulting in a compound fracture in his right leg for which he had to undergo a surgical procedure during which an implant was placed. Due to his very busy schedule in politics and films, the removal of the implant has been deferred. However, now upon his doctors' advice, Kamal Haasan will be getting admitted in the hospital for a surgical procedure, on November 22, to get the implant removed. Furthermore, he has been compelled to take a break for the next few weeks to physically recover, a statement from the actor's party says.
He has shot for Shankar's 'Indian 2' this year.
