The newly elected office bearers of the South Indian Artistes Association (Nadigar Sangam) held its first press conference this Sunday on 25th October.

It was a grand affair where that ace actor Kamal Haasan was elected as one of the nine trustees of the Nadigar Sangam. Tamil actor Vishal is also the new General Secretary of the association feels proud and honoured. He strongly stated that there will be no reference to 'Pandavar Ani' (the name by which the team fought for the elections) and also they were only to be referred to as Nadigar Sangam from then on.

Actor Vishal took to work on the first day itself saying, that the Nadigar Sangam would be to look into the land deal with SPI Cinemas and build a state-of-the-art building for the Nadigar Sangam. The Tamil Film Producers Council President Kalaipuli S Thanu was present to felicitate the new members.
