The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha`s announcement on building a monument for the Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan is being profusely welcomed by Tamil film industry veterans.

Ulaganayagan` Kamal Haasan has sent a message appreciating the government`s decision to honour his industry senior and also the role model in acting.

“By according such a respectful tribute to the Nadigar Thilagam, the government has added gained glory and also honoured the acting community A wholehearted thanks for that. I am one among those who try to exhibit themselves as a descendant of that legend.”
