Did you know a Superstar refused to act in Kamal's production even after he begged him

Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is hitting the screens on June 3rd amidst one of the highest expectations ever in Kollywood. The Anirudh musical has Vijay Sethupathi and Fahaadh Faasil playing important characters.

In spite of age constraints, Kamal is taking a masterclass on how to promote a film in 360 degrees. He is constantly on flights for the past week or so going to Delhi, Mumbai, Cochi, Hyderabad and is currently in Kualalampur, Malaysia to promote 'Vikram'.

Kamal Haasan in one of his recent interviews to a Bollywood media has shared that legendary superstar the late Dilip Kumar refused to act in his production even after he begged him. This was with regards to Kamal's classic blockbuster 'Devar Magan' that had Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan playing a pivotal role.

For the Hindi remake Kamal approached Dilip Kumar who at that time politely refused due to his health condition and no amount of begging could convince him. The film titled 'Virasaat' directed by Priyadarshan was later made with Amrish Puri in Sivaji's role while Anil Kapoor played Kamal's lead role.
