Late Director Balu Mahendra's 'Moondram Pirai' that released in 1982 was a landmark film in legendary actor Kamal Haasan's career, as it fetched his first National Award for the Best Actor. The film was also remade in Hindi as 'Sadma' with the same lead cast and the remake released in 1983, was also successful,

Now we learn that this classic film is going to be remade again in Hindi and also in English. Ad Filmmaker Lloyd Baptista has taken up this humungous task.

Baptista has confirmed in his interview to a leading National daily that 'Moondram Pirai' aka 'Sadma' will be remade simultaneously in Hindi and English. The team is in the process of fixing the star cast and both the Bollywood and Hollywood version will have different start cast.

Kareena Kapoor was apparently approached to play the female lead role of a young woman who regresses in to childhood after an accident, which was brilliantly portrayed by Sridevi. But Kareena could not accept the offer as she is busy with prior commitments.

We hope the makers rope in artists who could make justice to the roles played by Kamal Haasan and Sridevi.
