It has been more than two years since a new Kamal Haasan flick released. The actor alongside the preparatory work for his political entry is also busy with the post production of his long delayed 'Viswaroopam 2'. 

Meanwhile Kamal Haasan's 1989 film 'Vetri Vizha' released earlier this year in a digitally remastered version. Now it is time for another yesteryear Kamal film to release in theaters in digital version. 

'Meendum Kokila' the 1981 film starring Kamal Haasan, Sridevi and Deepa will be re-released in a digitally remastered version.The film will hit the screens on December 15, 2017 while its trailer will be launched at 6 PM today (November 17).

The film was directed by G.N.Rangarajan the father of director G.N.R.Kumaravelan who has directed films such as 'Haridas' and 'Wagah'. Ilaiyaraja provided the music score for the film. The film's soundtrack includes the evergreen super hit song 'Chinnanjiru Vayadhil Enakkor Chithiram thonudhadi'.
