Kamal Haasan and director Shankar are teaming up after 23 years, for the sequel of their 1996 movie Indian, Indian 2 which was launched in January. After initial few days of shoot, the movie did not make progress and the actor was focusing on his political career.

Recently, it was revealed that the movie is back on track and will resume shooting from August. The movie also witnessed the addition of new cast members like Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Aishwarya Rajesh, Vidyut Jammwal and this had raised expectations on the movie.

The latest update is that there is a major change in the technical crew, as cinematographer Ravi Varman has opted out of the project and has been replaced by Rathnavelu. Indian 2 has music by Anirudh and will feature Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead.
