Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's 'Viswaroopam 2' was announced in 2013 and the film was almost completed in the same year. But for some unknown reasons the progress was stalled and the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster is yet to hit the screens.

After a long time Kamal Haasan has opened up about the film's release and the inordinate delay in his latest tweet.

In the tweet Kamal assures that he is personally involved in clearing all the obstacles for the film. Bigger obstacles have been solved and some technical and legal issues are in the process of getting solved.

In another tweet the versatile star says that the post-production work will take six months.

With this we fans can expect that 'VR2' will hit the screens at least this year.

The film is being directed by Kamal Haasan and music score is by Ghibran. Andrea, Pooja Kumar, Waheeda Rahman, Shekar Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Anant Mahedevanand many others are acting in the film.

While the first part was set in USA the sequel will be happening in India.
