Kamal Haasan released the travelogue written by Mohanlal at the book release function held at Kochi. The book was released officially with Kamal handing over the book to renowned writer N.S. Madhavan.

The book titled Mohanlalinte Yathrakal has description of travels undertaken by Mohanlal, some alone, and some with his family. Rare pictures of his trips have also been included in the book, which costs Rs. 2000.

Kamal said that he is honoured to release the book and that he is speaking as a friend and admirer. N.S. Madhavan said that it is a well written book with an eye towards the humanitarian perspective. Mohanlal spoke about how he regrets the promise of a trip together with legend Padmarajan, that did not happen and that he has tried to compensate for all that through his trips. The event was attended by Innocent, Ranjith, Priyadarshan, Renji Panikar, Jeethu Joseph, T.K. Rajeev Kumar, Major Ravi, among others.
