It's known that Superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday dropped his political plans and said that he will not be entering active politics keeping his health condition in view. Kamal Haasan, who is a well-wisher and an actor-turned-politician himself, has opened up on Rajini's shocking decision.
Addressing his supporters at a rally, the Makkal Needhi Maiam actor said that he is disappointed that Rajini is not taking to politics. At the same time, said the 'Vishwaroopam' and 'Indian 2' actor, Rajini's health is very important to him. Kamal suggested that he understands the 'Kabali' actor's considered decision. The Universal Star even hinted that he would be talking with Rajini about his decision not to enter politics.
In his Tuesday statement, Rajini said that he has been regularly taking immuno suppressant tablets since his kidney transplant. "So even the vaccine (against coronavirus) wouldn't help me much. I don't want to make my followers and fans as scapegoats to save myself from the critics. The recent outbreak of COVID-19 on the sets of 'Annaatthe' is a warning from God," the '2.0' actor said in a long statement.
His fans, meanwhile, have expressed shock. They are yet to make peace with their favourite icon's decision.
