Kamal Haasan conducted a general meeting of his Makkal Neethi Maiam at the Coddissia Towers in Coimbatore where he released his party's manifesto for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and also announced the candidates for the Assembly byelections as well as the remaining MP candidates.
Kamal shocked his supporters by stating that he would not be contesting the Lok Sabha elections as he feels that all the candidates contesting are a mirror image of himself and that he would rather be the chariot puller than sit on it. The highlights of the manifesto is ensuring 100 percent profit for farmers, creating 50 lakh new jobs with equal salary to men and women and free wifi and abolition of toll fees on highways. The other surprising announcements are bringing a law whereby the Governor of the state will be selected by the legislators and not the center and home delivery of ration goods.
Kamal Haasan made direct attacks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling him a security guard of the rich people and his biggest achievement is bringing Tamil Nadu youth onto twitter to create the Go Back Modi hashtag.
