Even as the election campaign for the Lok Sabha elections which is scheduled on April 18 is happening in full swing, on the other end, the Income Tax officials are on a raid spree as they have been searching in various places in the state, with DMK senior leader Duraimurugan and candidate Kathir Anand being in full focus.

As expected, DMK has been accusing this as a politically motivated move and ADMK and BJP at the other end have said that there's no government involvement or political motive behind the raids. Duraimurugan's residence and educational institutions are under IT radar and the search is in progress.

When questioned regarding these IT Raids, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, the leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam political party has said that neither the ones conducting the Income tax raids nor the ones who are being searched as a part of the raids are good, but only those who have committed mistakes will be worried and frightened about such IT raids.
