Breaking! Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam reunite after 35 years - Official announcement

The massive surprise official announcement has just landed that Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and legendary director Mani Ratnam are uniting for a new movie. The project with music by A.R. Rahman has been tentatively titled 'KH234' and will be jointly produced by RKFI, Madras Talkies and Udayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Pictures. It has also been revealed that the film will release in 2024.
Kamal and Mani Ratnam who are close friends and relatives have only worked once before in 'Nayakan' released in 1987. The film hailed as one of the greatest Tamil films ever served as a comeback for Kamal Haasan whose prior films were mostly commercial potboilers.
Both the legends recently touched the peaks of their careers with Kamal starring in and producing 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj collecting close to four hundred and fifty crores at the box office. Mani Ratnam with his epic mulitstarrer 'Ponniyin Selvan' deliverd the alltime biggest hit of Tamil cinema collecting five hundred crores and counting. More details of when 'KH234' will go on floors and the rest of the cast and crew details will be announced soon.
Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 2' is expected to release in April 2023 and with the first part already collecting the entire budget will bring more glory to the veteran. Kamal is currently hosting 'Bigg Boss 6' and is set to resume 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar later this month.
