Kamal Haasan after the executive committee and general body meeting of his Makkal Neethi Maiam has stated that his party has given him the sole power to decide on electoral alliances and strategies and would align with like minded parties. He has clearly stated that he will not move towards any Tamil Nadu party that is trying to desperately change the DNA of the people. Kamal informed that his election propaganda would be the development of Tamil Nadu and how the state has been neglected and betrayed till now.

Kamal also informed that Mahendran would be overseeing the upcoming parliamentary elections work. The legendary actor turned politician made it clear once again that he will be contesting the elections but has now decided from which constituency.
