Kamal Haasan has joined hands with Nallakannu and the P.R. Pandian, president of the Coordination Committee of All Tamilnadu Farmers Association for a conference "Cauvery Namadhu" to be held on the 19th of May 2018 in Chennai.

Speaking at the press conference, Kamal Haasan said that in his quest as to what to do next in the Cauvery issue he found that the conference is happening under the guidance of Nallakannu and P.R. Pandian and sine he had the same mind he is proud to join them.

Kamal pressed that there is a need for everyone to come under one umbrella as Tamilians irrespective of any political affliation to fight for Tamil Nadu's rightful portion of the Cauvery water. He has also proposed to meet whoever is going to be elected in the Karnataka state elections and ask them to abide by the supreme court order and release the water.
