At his political press meet held on Tuesday in Chennai, Kamal Haasan said that he is not in a hurry to launch and name his political party. "I am already in politics. I am carefully learning things," he said.
One major highlight of the day is that he has launched a citizen connect app named 'MaiamWhistle', where anybody can register complaints against corrupt officials, politicians, etc. He is set to leverage electronic tools to spread his political footprint.
From January, he will go on a tour of Tamil Nadu.
In the wake of the outrage sparked by his recent 'Hindu terror' remarks, the Universtar Star said that he has transcended both religion and caste. Saying that he wouldn't hurt Hindu sentiments since his own family members are Hindus, he drove home the message that no religion should resort to violence.
Regarding the funding of his future party, the acclaimed actor made it clear that he is not going to seek funds from his fans per se. The public at large will be urged to donate.
What happens to 'Vishwaroopam-2' and 'Sabaash Naidu' (and maybe even 'Indian-2')? He will complete his current commitments, he assured.
