Kamal Haasan keeps us guessing

Kamal Haasan was on Friday in Kolkata to participate in the 23rd International Film Festival. His off-the-record interaction with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has become a matter of speculation. It has kept us guessing.

All that the actor has so far said is this: "Thank you Mamataji for inviting me again and again and honouring the best of my cinema family. I feel pride to be a part of this family."

Furthermore, Kamal also touted that the event was the best example of unity in diversity' and wished the CM a happy journey as she is set to leave for London.

Even though the duo sharing the same dais didn't outwardly seem to hold any political significance, it should be noted that Kamal has been laying a strong groundwork for his political career by forming good relationships with political heavyweights such as Kerala's Pinarayi Vijayan and Delhi's Arvind Kejriwal.
