Directed by Shankar, Kamal Haasan's 1996 film 'Indian' is one of the best vigilante films in Tamil cinema. The iconic duo has been working on the movie's sequel for a few years now but the project faced several delays. Now, Indian 2 is close to completion and we have been regularly updating you about the progress.

Recently, one of the film's producers Udhayanidhi Stalin revealed that Indian 2 is aiming for a grand release on April 2024. We already brought to you that Shankar is currently at the Lola VFX, USA to work on the VFX and CGI portions of the movie. As per the latest reports, Kamal Haasan has wrapped up his talkie and stunt portions entirely.

Apart from some patchwork, only a song featuring Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal is left to be shot. We hear that Shankar is planning to film the song in an extravagant manner but he hasn't decided on a location yet. Anirudh is composing the musical score for Indian 2 and a first single is expected to be launched soon.

Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies with Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, Samuthirakani, Vivek, Nedumudi Venu, Manobala and many other prominent stars in the cast.
