Recently Super Star Rajinikanth settled the issue between 'Lingaa' team and distributors by paying compensation of around Rs.10 crores to the distributors, who incurred losses because of the film.

But Kamal Haasan is against this. He said that claiming compensation for loss is not correct as cinema is a mix of art and business. He added though Rajinikanth started the practice of paying compensation to the distributors, it is not at all justified.

Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain' is gearing up for a release in April and Kamal is busy promoting the film at present. Kamal Haasan also provided the story and screenplay for this film, directed by his friend Ramesh Aravind. The film's music score by Ghibran is acclaimed and the songs of the Telugu version will be out soon.
