The official announcement about the grand first of its kind First Look launch event for Superstar Rajinikanth's much expected '2.0' came from the Lyca Productions on Wednesday (November 16). The first look posters of this huge sci-fi flick directed by Shankar will be released on November 20 at a star-studded event to be held in Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai.
While the hour long event will be hosted by famed Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar, all the prominent A list celebrities associated with the film including Superstar Rajinikanth, director Shankar, Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar will be making there presence felt. A few other celebrity guests from Bollywood and Kollywood are also expected to grace the event.
Now we learn from a reliable source that the makers of '2.0' are planning to surprise the world with the presence of a top league star from Tamil cinema .
Sources reveal that Rajinikanth's long time friend and professional rival Kamal Haasan has been invited to the First look launch event of '2.0'. At this juncture it is also worth recalling that the two doyens of Tamil cinema met recently in the latter's residence and we have reasons to believe that the Superstar would have extended a personal invitation to the Ulaganayagan during this meeting.
Kamal has been recovering from a fracture and the consequent surgery on his leg since July. He has not been spotted in a public event since then and the shoot of his upcoming film 'Sabaash Naidu' is also on hold.
So will the multi-talented actor be able to attend the '2.0' First look launch if he has been invited? Or if not a personal visit. will he address the gathering through video conferencing facility or at least send a message wishing the team on his behalf?
We will have to wait for a few more days to know the answer for all these questions. Until then let us keep our fingers crossed to enjoy the surprises that Lyca and team have in store for us.
