Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar which has been in production for over two years is in its final leg of shooting. The current schedule is taking place at the Chennai Airport. There were reports that the airport authorities stopped the shooting due to lack of proper permissions.
It is said that the shots are being canned at the departure area of Chennai airport. It was said that the permission was not granted for filming in the lavatory area of the airport and thats why the officials intervened. However production sources have cleared the air that the 'Indian 2' shooting is going on with the proper permissions for all the spots required after paying Rs 1.24 crores including GST to the airport management.
'Indian 2' is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies with Anirudh scoring the music and Ravi Varman handling the camera. The ensemble cast comprises of Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Guru Somasundaram, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, S.J. Suryah and the late Vivek. The film is expected to arrive in theaters worldwide as a grand Pongal 2024 treat for fans.
