Veteran actor Kamal Haasan who is busy with the final leg of post=production work for his upcoming thriller 'Thoongavanam' which is scheduled to release on November 10 as a Diwali treat has allotted his precious time to be the chief guest and inaugurate a photo exhibition in Chennai, today.

The 'Ulaganaygan' will be inaugurating the display of photographs on Jallikattu, a traditional sport of Tamils using the bulls played during Pongal festival. The event will take place today at 10.30 am in Lalith Kala Academy, Chennai. The exhibition will be open for public viewing until November 8th.

It is not a surprise that Kamal Haasan has been opted to publicise a photo exhibition on the sport considered as a symbol of valour in Tamil tradition. The legend has acted in a scene where he participates and wins in Jallikattu in the film 'Virumandi' written and directed by him in 2004.

It is also worth noting that Jallikattu has been banned by the Supreme Court of India.
