The 'Indian 2' actor has suggested that the Indian hand-woven material will be sold with the aim of reaching out to needy artisans. Touted to be a uber-cool series, the clothing line has Ms. Amritha Ram as the designer.
The Makkal Needhi Maiam actor feels that Khadi and India are integrally tied up. Referring to its place in history, he adds, "From a pure comfort point of view, Khadi is an all-weather textile. It can take on the discontent of the winter as well as the sweat and toil of the summer."
The versatile actor added that his endeavour is to make Khadi fashion-friendly and popularize it among urbanites. "Fashion is being civil yet disobedient," Kamal wrote on Twitter, posting pics of Mahatma Gandhi, whose big fan he is.
