Kamal Haasan lauds his fans for achieving huge landmark in saving lives for 40 years

Kamal Haasan is the quintessential pioneer in not only ushering in new technology and dimensions in filmmaking but also the first to convert fan clubs into social service organizations. Kamal in his young days used to donate blood and also encouraged is fans to do the same which became a movement for the past four decades.
Kamal today lauded his fan clubs for achieving the milestone of 40 lakhs blood units donated in 40 years. He has written in Tamil "In the past forty years our fan club members have donated forty lakh units of blood which amounts to an attempt to save forty lakh lives which you can see with your very own eyes. Today on the World Blood Donation Day let us pledge to continue our service by donating blood and saving lives."
Kamal is doing a magician's job now of juggling his poltical career running the Makkal Needhi Maiam' and also planning his next movies 'Indian 2' and 'Thalaivan Irukkinran'.
